Amagara Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering rural communities in Western Uganda. Established as a Community Based Organization under the Bunyangabu district local government, the foundation works towards sustainable development by providing education, healthcare, water, agriculture, and climate change solutions. With a vision of inclusive empowerment, Amagara Foundation aims to leave no one behind and create lasting positive change in the communities it serves.

Our Background

Amagara Foundation was founded to complement the efforts of the Bunyangabu district local government in addressing the developmental needs of communities. Registered as a not-for-profit organization, it operates in Kibiito town council, Bunyangabu district, Western Uganda

Agriculture

Sustainable agriculture is vital for food security and economic growth. We equip school farm clubs and small-scale farmers with necessary farming equipment, such as hoes and watering cans, along with quality seedlings.

Amagara Foundation provides training and capacity building for Village Health Teams. These teams play a vital role in delivering healthcare services at the grassroots level.

Scholarships and Scholastic Materials for Vulnerable Children

To support education, Amagara Foundation offers financial assistance and scholastic materials to vulnerable children from primary school to university.

Infrastructure Development

The foundation supports infrastructure development in rural communities, including the construction of latrines, libraries, classrooms, and reading sheds

Support for Farmers

Amagara Foundation offers planting and post-harvest solutions to support farmers. By providing training, resources, and technologies, the foundation helps farmers increase their agricultural productivity
